Important Update: Changes to Our Terms of Service

We’re updating our Terms of Service on July 15th, 2024, and we wanted to inform you in advance.

These changes won’t affect how you use our services, but they will make it easier for you to understand what to expect from OwoDaily and what we expect from you. You can see the new terms [here]. We have also summarized the changes at the bottom of this email.

Key Changes:

  • How We Process Job Orders
  • V.A.T & CBN Fees (Taxes paid to the government)
  • Account Verification & Security

We would like to notify you of an upcoming adjustment to the functionality of our marketplace. Starting July 13th, we will change the procedure for paying for jobs using deposited credits on OwoDaily.

We will introduce a new system where users will make payments for jobs directly from their bank account using any of the available payment processors on the platform. This change is being made to comply with local regulations in Nigeria and to enhance user convenience by integrating the currency used for both job creation and service engagement. We anticipate that this adjustment will contribute to a more cohesive and efficient experience for all our users. Please note that earnings will continue to be deposited into your wallet as usual.

Additionally, we will be introducing V.A.T & CBN Fees on every payment made on the marketplace. This decision has been made in compliance with local tax regulations and is necessary to ensure the continued operation and sustainability of our platform. The introduction of taxes will come into effect on July 15th. From this date forward, applicable taxes will be included whenever you make a payment to post a job or a bounty. You may notice a slight increase in costs due to these changes, and taxes will be automatically calculated and added to your invoice at the time of payment. Please ensure that you review your invoices carefully to understand the breakdown of charges.

We will also be introducing account confirmation for all members, which will require you to update and verify your bank details on your profile. After the first update, payment will only be sent to the name verified on your profile. Change of account name will be restricted after verification.

We understand that changes like these can raise questions, and we're committed to providing transparency and support throughout this process. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we implement these necessary updates. We appreciate your continued trust in OwoDaily.
