Road accidents is one of the major and leading road transportation problems Nigeria face as a country due to the careless and nonchalant attitude of some untrained and unqualified drivers on the major roads.

Currently in Anambra state, travelers going to and fro are stranded along Onitsha - Enugu expressway after an accident occured leaving lots of car at ease.

The traffic jam was caused by an accident by a careless driver who was allegedly asleep and didn't see the road sign earlier before hitting a blockage which doesn't allow heavy vehicles to use a particular bridge along the expressway in Anambra state.

Due to the accident, the major road was blocked and the only road available for travelers was one made for heavy long vehicles and others moving Inside the town. I was one of the stranded travelers on the road even though I've nearly reached my destination from Ukpo junction to aroma junction, I spent hours on the road today for a journey of less than 20 minutes.

See photos from the accident and heavy traffic jam leaving travellers stranded for hours now below:-

Enugu Onisha road has been under construction for the past 30 years, a journey of just 100 kilometres. Shame to Nigerian government

Traffic wardens would have done their work.

God have mercy
