The shortage of power supply has been one of the major challenge faced by most African countries, as most of these African countries cannot boast for 48-hours uninterrupted power supply.  

 

In Nigeria, it’s difficult to see residential and various office complex without generators. It can be the small generator, popularly known as ‘I pass my neighbor’ or the bigger ones. In a nutshell, you will surely see generators in mostly urban areas. We are even yet to discuss about the rural areas, where most residence cannot afford generators and can hardly boast of 12-hours uninterrupted power supply.

What will you do if you can afford Solar roofing?

First and foremost, solar energy is the energy generated from the sun. Solar panels are used to generate electricity, with sun, the major energy generator. With the help of various solar panels and good batteries, you can generate your own power, which can power your house for hours, depending on the capacity of the batteries or battery installed.

It is an advantage to have solar panel installed your house because, you won't have to worry about unstable electricity supply.
And it safer and helps beautify the house. It's very advisable to get it if you can afford it.

In my opinion, I would for 2 reasons:
1. Its reliable.
2. It's a better alternative to main electrical power supply.
And I would not for 3 reasons.
1. It's initial cost for installation is on the pricey side
2. It would work best on sunny days as opposed to rainy days or days that are not as sunny.
3. It may not work independently at night which would require me getting another alternative electrical power supply to use at night.

In my opinion, I would for 3 reasons:
1. It's reliable.

3. It's noiseless and doesn't have add negative effect to the environment (Carbonmonoxide emission)
And I would not for 3 reasons.
