Tension In Warri As Angry Youths Set A Police Vehicle On Fire After A Woman And Child Were Killed

Angry youths in Warri, Delta state have taken to the streets to demonstrate after a police vehicle crushed a woman and her child to death. According to various reports, police officers were chasing suspected yahoo boys when their vehicle lost control and ran into a tricycle, killing a woman and her child.
The officers allegedly abandoned their vehicle and escaped after they found out that a woman and her young daughter were already dead. This incident reportedly took place at PTI junction, Warri and the youths aren't taking things easy after the report of the incident went viral. Angry youths took to the street to protest over the killing of an innocent woman and her child, they located the police vehicle that was abandoned and set it on fire.

Social media posts from eyewitnesses alleged that there is increasing tension in Warri as the youths have been protesting for hours now. It's really sad that an innocent woman and her daughter lost their lives, this could have been averted if the officers didn't think of chasing suspected yahoo boys.
Situations like this would make many Nigerian youths doubt if police brutality would ever stop.
