Cynthia Rothrock is the epitome of the greatest action stars of all time - and yet her name isn't famous out of martial arts movie fanatics. For those who grew up watching her movies, Rothrock's name can undeniably be mentioned among the likes of Jackie Chan, Donnie Yen, or Jet Li.


Cynthia Rothrock is a martial arts expert and professional athlete, who went on to become our favorite action movie star, starring in a number of highly successful B action movies. She first made a name as an action actress in Hong Kong before going on to thrill audiences in her origin. At the time of her fame, she was well-known as the “Queen of Martial Arts films”.


Upon completing her goal of being undefeated in competition, she began her martial arts acting career starring in movies made and produced in Hong Kong. Her first movie, Yes, Madam alongside Michelle Yeoh, chatted box office records, making her a massive star in Hong Kong. After three years of residing in Hong Kong, finishing seven films, she went back to the United States to push her acting career.
