This Privacy Policy explains how UpNotify ("we", "us", "the Application") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our app to receive Upwork job notifications. By using UpNotify, you agree to the practices described here.

We do not collect or request your Upwork account credentials, and we do not access your private Upwork account data.
Notifications are delivered via Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM). When you change or remove category preferences, your device is unsubscribed/resubscribed from the relevant topics accordingly. On logout, your device token is disassociated from your prior subscriptions; on re-login, subscriptions are re-synced to your active preferences.
UpNotify may use AI-based technologies to help match incoming job postings to your selected categories or to improve notification relevance. Any data processed by AI is used solely to support these app features and is handled in line with this Privacy Policy.
UpNotify is an independent product and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Upwork Inc. We monitor publicly available job postings; we do not access, store, or share your credentials or private data from Upwork or any other third-party platform.
UpNotify's backend systems, database structure, matching logic, and interface are independently built and owned by the Service Provider. While the general category of "job alert notification apps" is common in the market and not unique to us, our specific implementation — including our own source code, database schema, and visual design — is original work belonging solely to the Service Provider and is not derived from any other party's proprietary systems.
We retain device tokens and category preferences for as long as your account/device is active on the Application. If you uninstall the app or request deletion, associated data is removed from our systems within a reasonable timeframe.
We take reasonable technical measures to protect your data. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
UpNotify is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from children under that age.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of the Application after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
